Round Handled Mug “Mira”

In my opinion, this is potter Sabrine Awad’s signature piece. Affectionately named “Mira” after her best friend, her unique rounded handle on this hand thrown mug is where tradition and contemporary design collide. When I first saw them I knew I had to work with this woman.

I am also attracted to her use of matte glaze. These elements set her pottery into a more sculptural and contemporary platform. Each piece is a work of art.

Large enough to cradle in both hands, this latte mug doubles as a soup bowl. Or wine mug. I’m not judging.
